My name is Paolo de Guzman.

I am a 17-year-old student from a small suburban town of Brookeville, MD, who enjoys film and photography. I'm currently a senior at Mount Saint Joseph who is enrolled in Advanced Digital Art. When I was younger, my friend and I would mess with the idea of video using just the MacBook’s camera and create a short movie using the app iMovie. I would also use a point and shoot camera and often use my dad’s old camcorder or  camera to capture or video anything that interested me.

 

A few years later in middle school, I was given an 'Elgato': a game capture card. This was at a point of time in which I was interested in recording game play footage of video games I enjoyed with friends or other gamers. After the recording, I would edit that footage into a small montage or into a comedic trolling video imitating those seen on YouTube.

 

Once I entered my junior year of high school, I chose to take a photography class as my art elective. I slowly began to develop a stronger interest in the world of photography and film. I began to give more thought and attention in creating and developing my photos and videos. I hope to see myself in a future revolving around art.
